Here are  few examples of how images have started out. There are lots of techniques in producing a digital image just as there was when we worked in the darkroom. The degree of contrast that can be added in black and white compared to the darkroom is immense. All my images I take in colour except for infrared. The conversion to monochrome I always do using the black and white adjustment layer adjusting each individual colour to suit the image.
